A microwave should heat food evenly, but one evening I noticed my soup was cold on one side and boiling on the other. Looking closer, I realized the glass plate wasn’t rotating at all. At first, I thought the motor had burned out.
Occupation:
Dirty roller ring or track – Food crumbs block smooth rotation.

Plate not seated properly – If the glass tray isn’t aligned, it won’t turn.

Worn roller guide – The plastic ring may crack or shift out of place.

Faulty turntable motor – If broken, the plate won’t spin at all.

Settings or modes – Some microwaves allow cooking without rotation.

But after reading the user manuals, I learned that a non-spinning plate is a very common issue, usually caused by simple things that can be fixed at home.
